i vote for basti schweinsteiger of bayern munich - i've seen a lot of him lately and this kid is so freakin' impressive - both feet, brilliant passes and a nice shot - i'd also swear he gives the ball away less than anybody else on that team over the last month and he competes quite well physically in a tough league - in short: he is going to bad as hell (if he's not already)

Admittedly, I saw him for the first time in Munich's CL match against Madrid. I agree with your assessment...at least from what I saw in that match. He was very impressive.

Bruno Cheyrou for Liverpool is a natural talent. Only this season he broke into the first team and even then it was a short stint but he has talent in abundance. I saw him play last season against Southampton in the carling cup
and he stood out amongst the crowd as a class act. He has two excellent feet, a deft touch and I reckon once he gets a good run of games he'll prove to be a real gem.

I agree with the choice of Bastian. He was their most dangerous player, and he only had half a game to prove that.

He is one of a small group of players who have 'graduated' from the Bayern youth programs..the others I know of being Kouffour and Hargreaves.

I hope Bastian gets to show his stuff this summer in portugal.

Another young phenom not being recognized as much is Alex, but now he is at PSV , he will be on everyone's lips

He's had a few good runs here and there, but overall he's a tremendous groan producer the entire time. Injuries haven't helped, admittedly, but few LFC supporters will be sad were he to sign somewhere else.

He's also 26 in May and so could hardly be called young.

At first excuse my bad english...

I also would vote for Basti Schweinsteiger although he is an bavarian player. By this point poitr trochowski also from bayern munich has more talent then Schweinsteiger but doesn't get the chance to play.

What ist about Philipp Lahm I don't read anything about him on this board or Lukas Podolski?

Luke Moore of Villa, he might score his first EPL goal against Charlton tomorrow.

    apropo Villa:

    What's about with Thomas Hitzlesperger?

Ok ok I know, only German talents but I don't really know foreign talents who are underrated (what is a kind of logic ;-) )

There is no such thing as an underrated young phenom. Either he is rated or overrated.

He`s a good player, who`s played on the left, defensive and attacking midfield for us and takes all the set pieces suitable for a left footer. I think I`m right in saying he has more assists for us this season than anyone else. He does dissappear from games though, but can score from distance, hence his nickname - The Hammer. Has a happy knack of scoring against our local rivals, which endears him to the fans.

I think the same can be said of Robinho (I mean Pele calling him the next him - the kiss of death) and to a lesser extent Diego, but it depends where you live. These guys are fantasticos in Brazil, but unknown to the general public in Europe.

ya true, same with kaka. 8 months or so ago when he was still with São Paulo, 90% of Europe had no clue he even existed. look at him today.

robinho is way overrated. tevez i think is still very unknown except in south america and i guess germany since the strong links w/ bayern.
luis fabiano is very underrated but he is 24.

Dimitrios Papadopoulos of Panathinaikos and Greece. The kid was on the bench last year at Burnley rotting his talent away and this year came back to Greece and has 15 goals and has missed about a quarter of the season due to injury. Much of the time he's played as a lone striker and has taken tons of abuse from defenders and is still capable of putting it away...He's also scored 2 goals in 3 games for Greece and will almost definetely start up top at Euro 2004 for sure...

Maybe Schweinsteiger, though young Players become very fast "Supertalents, only because they play for Bayern a few times. But Schweinsteiger really seems to have big talent, but i dont think that he is somebody for the starting lineup. Deisler, Salihamidzic, Hargreaves and Ballack are better than him and if Frings comes next season he will not get many appearances.

The second is Tim Wiese, of 1.FC Kaiserslautern. He plays absolutely world-class the last moths and he much better than Hildebrand, though Wiese is an arrogant prick.

Fernando Cavenaghi of River Plate. He not only scores, but knows how to set up plays as well.
