This poll is for Brazil's die hard fans...Which was your most exciting moment in Brazil's recent World Cup performances...Try not to think of the big picture..just the single moment....
Yes ....thanx for the correction...sorry....I missed that...Ronaldo scored first ...The game was so balanced it could have gone either way till Ronaldo scored...and then of course Kluivert equalized...very exciting match
Mines goes back about 20+ years to the dream team in 1982. People talk of Roberto Carlos' free-kick goal vs. France. Actually my Brazil moment was in the same line of thinking. Brazil vs. Argentina 1982 World Cup. 11th minute a foul is called 35-40 yards away from goal. A free kick is awarded and the Argentine defence sets up a wall. The ball is placed. And if you watch on TV, you can't even see what's coming up next when EDER sprints on to the screen and unleashes a swerving ferocious free-kick past the wall that sends the Argentine keeper flailing in the opposite direction. It hits the crossbar and Zico scores. The last victory for 100% attacking Brazilian football.
I have quiet a few, Bebeto's goal against the US in '94 was great! Romario's goal against Holland but the one Ill never forget and by far my favorite was '94 Branco's free kick goal against the Dutch! I was 14 and I still remember it like it was yesterday! Got me and a few friends jumping up and down like we were on crack!
this poll only valid for newly joined Brasil fans obviously you never saw: Tostao make spahgetti of 3 British defenders on left.... pass to Pele inside 18 box....... Pele magnet pause to draw more Brits to himself..... pass to his right to Jerzinho .... BLAST THE ROOF!!!!! GOAL!! Brazil 1 - 0 England 1970 Mexico! What a WC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes, DerMongerer, yes. One of the most devastating long-distance freekicks ever. Better yet, and one of the best goals ever in WC (IMO) is the game against the Soviet Union in that same competition. Isidoro on the wing, passes to Socrates outside the box; Socrates lets the ball through his legs for an on-rushing Eder; Eder's first touch is to lift the ball a foot in the air, and his second touch (in stride mind you) is to hit that same elevated ball with such power and swerve that Dasaev (the wonderful Soviet keeper) is powerless to even move. Every time I see that goal it gives me shivers.
It was a great goal. I loved the guy. Remember his chip from outside the box in 1982 WC...effortless, a peice of art. By the way, do you have the video of the Eder goal you are alluding to?
Yes! One of the five greatest moments in the entire History of the World Cup!!! "A game for adults", Zagallo said at the time.
Brazil x Argentina. World Cup 90. The three shoots in the argentinian post in a row. We played much better than them in that game. We just put three guys marking Maradona and Argentina was over. But in the only nice move he did they scored (because Alemão, his club friend in Napoli, avoided the foul). But that sight of we hitting their post three times and the ball did not entering was remarkable...I don't remember the guys...I think someone kicked and hit the post, so in the rebound I think Careca managed to head the ball in the crossbar and in the next rebound I think Branco in a powerful shot hit the post, too...It's very nebulous to me... I'd like to see this game again...
