Who do you think most deserves their first cap with the US MNT senior side?

Oguchi Onyewu has had a great year with La Louviere and I think deserves to get a look - I think he remains uncapped at this point (but I may be wrong  )

Let Bruce know who he's overlooking...

i read alot about him online. i would like to see him get a cap. he deserves it. get him in there, and see him play, maybe in wcq? why not, get him in camp with our regulars. see how he stacks up, hes playin euro soccer all the time, playing every minute of every game.

I agree. I was a little surprised not to see him on the roster for the Poland match. He's a big defender who could seemingly help our backline.

OK - so we say Bruce is overlooking "Gooch".

    Who else is he missing?

Brian Mullan deserves a shot, but there's an outside chance that I may be biased. :D

seriously, I think he deserves at least a look since we're not exactly overflowing with people at his position.

Kenny Cooper, has been scoring for manu reserves, and as i have heard him compared playing style wise to rvn, would just love to see him play.

o god... Then i can throw in Zak Whitbread... he's been in the reserves for yrs.

I got to go with OO since we lack someone who's got vision at defense. OO is a fierce offensive minded defender... he's learning so much on the defensive end now that da bruce should give him a chance. i mean, i think by now he knows what kinda of player berhalter, pope, sanneh, gibbs, boca can do.. we need a defender to relieve the midfielders by giving good passes from the back.

Btw i agree about OO, have been hearing about him for quite some time now and i think he deserves his shot. I was just suggesting someone different, and its more fun to watch a new striker play then a new defender imo so maybe i was just being selfish :)

I don't know if Gooch deserves a cap, but he deserves to be called into camp for an extended look.

I think Gooch was hurt at some point (as to why Bruce may not have called him up)

I would like to see Robbie Russel get a cap. He's gotten rave reviews from the Norweigen press and is considered one of the top defenders in that league. Sogndal, his club team, have said that he is worthy to be sold to a better team in a better league. This will probably be his last season there. If I'm not mistaken Russel was either in a training camp or was on the roster for a match last December or January.

Didn't he get called into camp in 2003? I thought he did against like Equador or Venezuela (didn't play)? Maybe I'm wrong...

It may sound a bit rediculous, but i would like to see Kerry Zavagnin get more of a look than he already has. Technically, he ahs been capped, but most of that time has been garbage minutes near the end of games where it's hard for a player at his position to make an impact. The way he quietly controlls the middle 3rd of the field is a big reason why the Wizards haven't been complete crap the past few years.

Russell was called in for the Denmark game this year but didn't play.
