:( This is TERRIBLE news. I knew I should have chosen #6 for the Burn Bowl. Is he going to stay as an asst. coach?

    yes for now...
Morrow said that coaching the Burn has been a good short term distraction and coaching is something he looks forward to doing more. While he is hopeful something will come in Dallas, Morrow said he also has a couple other possibilities in the states as well as several at home.

a neck strain? I mean it could very well be the turf's fault, but was it? Not trying to defend Dragon or anything, I hate that damn place

    Too bad.

What exactly is the problem with the neck?

I thought it was an extreme pinched nerve of muscular issue. "fusion surgery" - that's bone talk, isn't it?

I am sad to see him go. He was a classy player in the midst of a circus clown season.

Steve said it's a degenerative condition in the disks in his neck. It developed over his long career.

He may in fact need to have the fusion surgery some day down the line if the degeneration continues, but is hopeful it won't come to that.

Is this type of injury related to all the heading a soccer player does over his career?

Steve indicated it was, but you would think it would have occured more in other players. Maybe it is something he has that was agrivated by the heading.

Of course they do a lot more heading at Arsenal than most.
