Morrisons out as well....If Keane does not get through tonights match / is not released then we may be stuck with Doherty and Connolly up front = recipe for disaster.. Sheffield Wednesday's Alan Quinn has been called into the Republic of Ireland squad for the European Championship Qualifiers against Georgia and Albania, but Birmingham City's Clinton Morrison has been withdrawn. Quinn received his first call-up to the Republic of Ireland squad following Saturday's withdrawals of Jason McAteer (Sunderland) and Gary Kelly (Leeds United). The midfielder has been outstanding for struggling Sheffield Wednesday this season and has always been hugely admired by Ireland manager Brian Kerr since he was first picked for the Under 17 team in 1997. The 23-year-old was a member of the Under 18 team that won the European Championships in 1998 and progressed through Don Givens' Under 21 set-up. However, injuries - including two broken legs - meant he didn't make the expected jump to the senior team under Mick McCarthy, despite the former Ireland boss being a big fan of the Dubliner. Kerr also tried to call up Wolverhampton Wanderers' Mark Kennedy, but the English First Division club have blocked the move because of the winger's longstanding injury problems. Kennedy hasn't played for Ireland for over a year because of a recurrent hamstring injury and he has been advised to take regular breaks from football to help the injury to heal. Another player who will not travel to Dublin is Morrison who has been forced to withdraw because of a dislocated shoulder picked up in Birmingham's 1-0 victory over West Bromwich Albion on Saturday. Originally, there was hope that the striker would travel to Dublin to link up with the squad on Tuesday but now the player, club and Kerr have conceded that he will not be available. However, John O'Shea (hamstring) and Steve Finnan (ribs) will both travel to Dublin to have their injuries assessed in the hope that they will recover sufficiently to travel with the team for the two matches. The squad will report for duty on Monday evening with Tottenham Hotspur trio, Stephen Carr, Gary Doherty and Robbie Keane, coming to Dublin on Tuesday morning - injury permitting - after a club game on Monday night. Revised squad: Given (Newcastle United), Kiely (Charlton Athletic), Colgan (Hibernian), Carr (Tottenham Hotspur), Finnan (Fulham), Harte (Leeds United), Cunningham (Birmingham City), Breen (West Ham United), O'Brien (Newcastle United), O'Shea (Manchester United), Reid (Millwall), Quinn (Sheffield Wednesday), Kinsella (Aston Villa), Holland (Ipswich Town), Carsley (Everton), Healy (Celtic), Kilbane (Sunderland), Duff (Blackburn Rovers), Keane (Tottenham Hotspur), Connolly (Wimbledon), Doherty (Tottenham Hotspur).
