SoccerAge is reporting that Real and Inter are close to a deal for a straight swap of Morientes for Vieri. http://www.soccerage.com/en/13/v2157.html I personally think this is a simply awful move unless we have a seller lined up for Vieri that is willing to pay big bucks. I have to think that #1 Morientes is worth more to sell than Vieri, if we are planning on selling him, and #2 Vieri will not be happy sitting behind Raul, Ronaldo, and maybe Totti. I'd rather see Portillo get time instead of an aging, less-talented Vieri. Hopefully this is just a rumor and has no truth. Besides, I highly doubt that Camacho would have any interest in Vieri.
Unless I see this on Marca, I'll take it with a grain of salt like I do with all reports that come from soccerage....especially ones that are based on "Italian media has reported..."
