The second leg is Saturday evening at 8:30 for all the marbles, and it's uphill for the Monarcas. They went down 3-0 in Monterrey tonight.

the early goals are what killed morelia.

the goal by Bautista gives them hope and of course morelia is a machine at home but monterrey is a team that can shut you down.

The away goal sure helps...and Morelia has beat a lot of teams by high margins at home this year it seems, so we'll see. It was pretty crap to watch, and the first goal was atrocious.

    It should be...

Well, actually, now that I checked, it's on Azteca America (which we don't get in Chicago) but it should be on TV Azteca which is on Dish Latino, which I do get.

    It's Saturday at 7:30.

.... for those that want to sit thru an hour of commercials and pre-game hype.

  10. The series is decided on aggregate goals, no away goals rule in the MFL. In the final, seeding does not break ties either. If the aggregate score is tied at the end of Saturday's match, there will be two 15 minute golden goal sessions with a penalty kick tiebreaker if necessary.

  11. Sometimes there is pregame entertainment with few, or no commercials. A couple of years ago Galavision carried the pregame show from Tigres Torneo Verano opener. It was a cross between a Super Bowl halftime show and an Aztec sacrifice ritual and one of the neatest pregames I've ever seen. The best part? No commercials and no babbling broadcasters.

Can anyone tell me a little bit about the history of Morelia? Since the Fire's partnership with the club I've started following the Monarcas, but I really don't know much about the team. Have they consistently been a Div. 1 club? Have they won many league championships? What is there stadium like? And what is the city of Morelia like?
