Visas to the United States were recently denied to the music group Ghazal. A group made up of Indian and Iranian musicians. I've seen this group perform twice in the US. Once in 1998 and once in 2001 (about 30 days after September 11th.) Why in the crap are visas being denied to artists that have a long history of playing in the US? This is getting completely out of hand. I was going to see these guys in Atlanta on Sunday but it was canceled. now i've got to go to some stupid work party for my wife's place of employment.
Know how to guarantee yourself a visa to the U.S.? I'm dead serious: Make reservations to a resort at Disney World. When you go for your interview at a U.S. Embassy, bring your reservation receipt with you. Unless you're on somebody's wanted list, you'll be approved.
Re: Re: more stupid visa denials yeah, but they'd get in big league trouble if they were found to be working on a tourist visa.
Well, given all the other nefarious knee-jerk shenanigans that have gone on since 9/11, are we really supposed to be surprised that anyone the least bit swarthier than your average albino will be denied entry into the U.S.?
