Right on the senate floor! http://www.sunshinestatenews.com/story/sen-mike-bennett-caught-looking-porn-senate-floor Is it the sexual repression in their public life that drives them to this kind of behavior? I'd like to hear from Republicans. Semper High!
wait for Fox news to "accidently" change his (R) for a (D), especially because it was not gay porn....
meh i do the same at work every once in awhile when im bored. No big deal here since it was just 4 topless chicks
Okay, here goes. 1) Topless chicks =/= equal porn. That picture would not be out of place in an English newspaper. 2) Why are we such children and so ashamed of the human body, especially when it's hot? 3) What behavior? Looks to me that he opened some email attachments. Who gives a shit? 4) Floor debates are archaic and silly. Chances are this guy knew exactly how he was voting before he entered the room.
Doesn't change the fact that the people who are tearing our world apart because we are threatened by a billion and one things really should have other things on their mind. Unless of course, that's all just BS to begin with.
Obviously Matt, I don't see it as any huge deal or anything, though I think it is a bit un-decorous to be checking out porn on the floor of the Florida senate during debate. And it's probably an ethical violation to use a state owned computer to check out porn. (In New York City, employees are advised not to used government email addresses or computers to send and receive private messages, a bit overboard, but nevertheless...) But no, I really don't see this as a "Republican" issue or problem. Upon seeing this story, I mostly just thought "really? oh c'mon!".
He clicked away as soon as he saw what it was - yet somebody managed to get a picture of it in that short time? My bullshit detector is going off. Not that I give a rat's ass about anyone watching porn.
It's a little more complicated than your question seems to assume. How am I supposed to post this while staying within the bounds of the TOS? Here, if you go to this perfectly SFW Reddit thread and look around long enough, you will find that somebody has posted links to the original NSFW pictures.
Why on earth would you blank out the breasts but keep the more interesting nether regions visible? (or did I just answer my own question?)
Listen to the background as he is looking at the picture. That, IMO (along with it being on the floor of the senate), is the reason there was a story on it. But, I think he knew what type of picture it was/would be the way he tiled his screen more open after he closed the picture. But, clearly, he was not looking at porn. Unless it is doggie style.
For the most part, I agree with you. But Matt, the actual words being spoken in the floor debate create an interesting juxtaposition. I'll bet that if, for example, a clerk at the Florida DMV were caught doing this, he'd be in deep shit.
