More Money to Man. U.

    Man. U. have just announced that they have renewed their sponsorship deal with Vodaphone for another 4 years, with an increase in the terms of £9m per year, netting them a total of £36m.
    I just hope that "O2" can eventually match that!!

    The other bit of news concerning ManUre is that Malcolm Glazer increased his stake in them today to 14.31%, leading to speculation that he's planning a takeover bid. I'm very curious about this, Jeff and anyone else in the UK: What would the reaction be if a Yank were to buy one of the England's top teams?

    Probably the same as Chelski fans have felt about RA putting his money in. If it's doing your club a benefit then fine. I don't think the nationality would really be a problem. Especially one from the western world, and an ally. It might even start up the "cold war" again in football!
