It will be if we put in all the Koreans playing abroad. Just to name a few: Jung Woon (NK Istra) Lee Jun-Woo (NK HASK Zagreb) Kim Min-Kyun (Jagiellonia Bialystok) Pak Kwang-Ryong (Bellinzona) Cha Jong-Hyok (FC Wil) Do Dong-Hyun (Brisbane Roar) 9 Koreans playing in various regional leagues of Germany + mr.shin89 (Mexicans at the park FC) Feel free to open a thread for each of them.
its really not that many threads. but we already have a koreans playing in the sand and koreans in japan. we could just make a koreans playing in eastern europe thread.
And only players who are capped for the senior NT get an individual thread? So Moon Seon Min, Park Jung-Bin, Yoon Joo Tae should be in the general K players abroad thread. Suk Hyun Jun's only got 1 cap. He could go either way, I suppose. Is that a fair compromise?
not a big organization person so dont care either way in the end. hardly come here except to post vids and pics.
After mostly acting as a sub earlier in the season he started in the latest game and scored. I've seen him play a few times here in Sweden and I would describe him as a quick and technical player with good passing. His big negative from what I've seen is that he's still not fully used to first team football (I think he had only played for youth/academy teams before signing with Östersund). He does have the talent to eventually move up into the first division Allsvenskan sometime in the future, but whether he actually does or not will depend more on if he can toughen up a bit and adjust to first team football at this level which perhaps requires a bit more cynicism.
This kid definitely took the hard route to get to his current place. I didn't know his story until recently but now I am rooting for him. In 2010, the Nike Football Academy had open calls worldwide for unsigned U20 players. In the video, they claim 75,000 players tried out. The number was reduced to 100, then 52, eventually down to the 8 finalist. Moon Seon-Min was one of the eight finalists, and ended up getting signed by the Swedish club. Very intense and interesting process. Here is the 2010-2011 story.
Whatever. Don't think anyone is expecting him to go to the Barclay's Premier League anytime soon. Just wishing him the best, living his dream.
Moon is feeling homesick and will therefor return back to South Korea after the season has ended. Korean clubs Incheon United and Jeju United have apparantly shown interest in him and Moon will meet with them when he returns.
Don't think he can return yet. A player who did not go through the draft system cannot join K-League for 5 years. He's only been away for 3 years now.
He's a central midfielder? I don't think either club would be a good move for him. (in terms of playing time)
I think it'd be best to go to a 2nd division club and try to work his way up. He looks too skinny for the 1 division. But who knows only 21 and the manager wanted to keep him. Might be a good signing.
it wasnt so much that he couldnt/cant cut it as it was his inability to get good opportunities due to his passport. idk why youre so annoyed by the guy. SHMs thread will still be at the top of the list in a hour or so....
