just read the newspaper that alluded to the announcement-- most tof the article has to do with Biello's possible retirement after the USL 1 championship game in montreal on saturday

but a sentence in the article alluded to a an announcement coming on monday about MLS montreal

any1 know about a meeting for an announcement on monday the 19th?

my guess is that the Quebec government, along with saputo, are announcing the finances to expand and renovate the stadium in expectation of a MLS franchise being awarded-- the Impact had asked for government money and we do know that saputo, mls and the quebec government officials have done some talking b4

I believe it was a hypothetical question posed to the player, not an announcement of something actually happening on Monday.

And my guess is that Joey Saputo will announce that he's reached an agreement with the Mother Ship to enter a team into the new Venusian first division, with play to begin as soon as the provincial government agrees to expand Stade Saputo to a capacity of 4,500,000 seats and give Joey his own pony.
