Out on a limb? How 'bout this: I PREDICT A ROAD WIN. Yes, a road win. Look, this does not mean that the Dynamo have gotten better and we are going to win the Milky Way Supernova Universe Cup. It just means that we are due for a win. Montreal is beatable (arguably), and the Dynamo have gotten close to winning road games before. I believe that players know they are FIGHTING for their job, and they are going to behave like superheroes. No, a win will not make me change my opinion about the mediocrity of this team. Like many have stated, some of the issues are mental, some goals have been due to mental lapses, and there's nothing like PRESSURE to lose your job to get rid of mental barriers. And some Dynamo losses have been due to unlucky bounces or unlucky misses, or unlucky ref calls. So luck can go either way. A win.
I'm going out on a limb, gents! #sisepuede #ibelieveIcanfly Oh, screw it, I'm going full chola: I used to think that I could not go on And life was nothing but an awful song But now I know the meaning of true love I'm leaning on the everlasting arms If I can see it, then I can do it If I just believe it, there's nothing to it
No Didier Drogba presumably given his red card this weekend, so there is a chance of at least a draw.

No Drogba? No Alex? OMG, both teams lost their stars for this game. I am sorry for the thousands of disappointed ALEX fans who will be heartbroken when they don't seen him in Montreal...
Given the type of injury and his age, 4-6 weeks seemed wildly optimistic to me. Thinking more likely something like 6-8 weeks. With the team going nowhere, all the more reason why he takes his time.
Steinberger up, Escalante and Arboleda will play this weekend for RGV, Brown won't be with either. Arboleda's presence is said as pending P-1, which is probably true of Brown too, but even mentioning him as potentially playing suggests Arboleda is further along, which suggests that Arboleda has been in the works a while. Strangest obsession with midfield numbers. That's not where we seem short on the roster relative to coach's supposed scheme (F) or where we have injuries and perhaps quality problems such that we had no subs (D). If anything we have too many Ms and might need to use them as emergency Fs.
Steinberger called in for this one. Probably won't see the field. I have to say one of the most frustrating things about MLS is incomplete benches. This whole minor league system of sharing players kills roster spots 15-18. They don't get play time in MLS and our constantly bouncing around between the big team and the lower team. While the league doesn't help the situation, I think having incomplete benches is on the shoulders of the GM (Jordan). If it constantly keeps happening, you are doing a really poor job of putting together a roster. There should be no excuse for an incomplete bench this Saturday... you had a transfer window to fix this issue (even if there are work permit hurdles). I will be pissed if we are short players (as should Wade). If it keeps happening I will bring my cleats to the next home game (Or maybe go have a conversation with Jordan at section 106 where he and Canetti usually stand the whole game).
The whole game? I know people teased Heft but standing with the crowd in the 100s would seem like more of a corporate exercise in consumer relations (and taking their temperature) than the best place for soccer-oriented execs wanting to coolly analyze what's happening. Which would be in a nice cool AC'd box elevated up where you see the shape and flow a little better. I've often said I think they get it backwards of late, it's like they are trying to entice the fan with signings, and concerned with optics (I will stand among you and see how you are receiving this.....), when I think what Houston fans respond to is winning. You'd be better off ignoring backgrounds and pandering ideas and assembling people who can play. If the pander backfires and we don't win it actually is worse because Houston fans get cranky about having to support a loser. Beyond Beckham or someone of that nature showing up, I haven't seen it where fans here respond much to names. So go sit in a box and see who can play. Quit thinking about what signing might move the needle.
