Montreal Expansion Thread - Name, Colors, Logo/Kit Design

Nicely done!

 

Nice work on the Half/Half! I like it.

I was told to "think more like AC Milan, but with Blue" for the Montreal kit. She wouldn't tell me more though.

 

My first thought was this:


or at least hope it is. She was trying not to tell me anything.

Here's Stoke City's 2011/12 away kit. Could be Montreal's as well if they use this template...

Away: white with red cross on it for Montreal

 

1st year MLS team can only have two shirts

 

Why? Is that actually a rule? Let's not let those 1st year teams have too many jerseys now, we wouldn't want them to sell more merchandise..

this one is basically Liverpool's third kit with an Impact badge on it

 

shame that the jersey was wasted on liverpool

 

they can always take the habs red jersey and switch the red/blue parts with eachother.

Some Dutch team---maybe Heerenveen?---uses kits kind of like that, that have three colors of stripe, all alternating. I think Galatasaray did the same thing way back when, but with their colors, obviously. Looks sharp, but I haven't watched the Impact in so long that I don't know how red figures into their colors.

Yes, that is implied by the photo itself. Habs logo. Word "hockey" on corner. But we're talking soccer. So I brought up a Dutch jersey it somewhat reminded me of.

The first one is interesting.. like the second one. Need more teams sporting brown. I love st pauli colors.

 

Brown? hahaha.

Thankfully that wont be the choice for our 3rd. Pink can work great, it has a nice history behind it, too bad the one attempt at it was just terrible.

 

Some Chilean club, maybe Iquique, has baby blue and brown. Looks okay. but IMFC blue is too dark.

 

L'carroté is AMAZING. I also like the movember edition, it has a special "habitant" feel that I appreciate.
