yeah and doesn't he have the release clause. I think clubs the size of Montpellier should be careful from this point forward in not allowing a release clause as that is how Madrid got Sahin for cheap from Dortmund even though Sahin didn't do much for Madrid in his first season. It is a good thing Montpellier have a good academy system. If I were to make a prediction, I would hope to say Montpellier will end up 3rd in their group and end up in the europa league in the 2nd half of the season. I guess we shall see based on who they get grouped with. I would assume they will be in the 4th pot.
http://www.arsenal.com/news/news-archive/giroud-i-have-the-weapons-to-do-well-here I heard the figure of 13 mill
I am more curious to hear about the 3 incoming players than those who are leaving although it is nice to get some of that money.
3 players that mhsc has signed mounier(attk), charbonnier(attk) and congre(def) people seem excited about mounier the other two I don't know
No doubt that he'll be the first choice striker. Highly skeptical that he's in fact a legitimate heir to Giroud's throne. He doesn't seem to be the same sort of striker (he's 6'0) and more technical. Giroud was more of a big target man.
Only a preseason match but a nice start: http://sports.yahoo.com/news/herrera-scores-twice-help-montpellier-030633885--sow.html
Good to see that Herrera looks solid so far, Mounier also seems to have impressed in the pre-season but I don't think that's too much of a suprise as I've always rated him as one of the most underrated players in Ligue 1.

I already posted about the match with Herrera's 2 goals but your post is in big caps and stands out better.
Well, I'll be the first to admit it, I haven't watched much Ligue 1 over the years. Not many ways to watch it. But Montpellier changed my mind Tuesday night. Fluent play, strong attack, beautiful midfield passing presence. I found my French squad.
Here's some good news for you. YouTube to show French football league highlightsThe French football league LFP has signed an agreement to show matches on YouTube outside France. The four-year deal will see match highlights, goals and other extra content available on the Google platform, Les Echos reports. This is the first such agreement for the league, which it also claims is a first for YouTube.http://www.telecompaper.com/news/youtube-to-show-french-football-league-highlights
Good news, now if Time Warner or Google picks up BeIn, I'm set for life. Thanks man. Also, gotta find a jersey. I seem to have an obsession with orange lately so it only benefits me to find the beauty that is this season's shirt. Any clue to where to find one other than the team's store?
It will be tough. I went through their team store last year and they were easy to work with and didn't take too long to ship. I even had mine customized. I did also know of a cool general football online store from France that dealt with the French Ligue 1 clubs as well and I bought a few things from there as well and they were easy to deal with.
I will admit their style of play along with the fact that it is nice to know they try to work on their academy so they can develop their own players was very cool to me when learning about the club.
Starting line-up for the Trophée des Champions game : Montpellier : Jourdren, Congré, Yanga-Mbiwa (cap.), Hilton, Bedimo - Saihi, Estrada, Cabella - Utaka, Herrera, Mounier Lyon : Lloris, M. Dabo, Koné, Cris, Cissokho - G. Fofana, Gonalons (cap.) - Briand, Gourcuff, Lacazette - Gomis
Soooo this is what happens when you selling Ligue 1's best striker and the MVP of your team....you rack up the losses and can't score anymore...smh. Belhanda is going to wish he left now...just wait until they start getting smacked around in the champions league.
Even if they kept the whole team, I think most people thought they wouldn't be able to duplicate what they did last year.
