Being ranked last in the FIFA rankings is much better than the alternative- not being ranked at all! You can't be a real country until you join FIFA, and then maybe the U.N.
The new rankings just came out, and Afghanistan has passed Monserrat. So Monserrat is last again. No joke.
It brings a tear to my eye thinking of the wonderful things we've been able to do to help those poor people. No more arms and legs cut off on the pitch. No more antenna whippings in the stands.
