There is a rumor that Mo Johnston is going to be the next head coach in Dallas (actually, it's more than a rumor).

    -thoughts?

I know for a fact that he applied for the job. I haven't heard anything one way or another about the hire, but I'll ask around.

I heard today that he has the job; or at least he's saying he has the job.

-I love the guy, but wow, he will need a lot of league pick-me-ups to make that team competitive again.

I wonder what Uche Okafor is doing these days. When he retired he mentioned that he was going to move to Dallas. If he's motivated, I could see Mo making Uche an assistant.

They have the You Suck allocation coming to them. They also have 3 out of the 4 first round draft picks. They can trade those away for starter or they can cast a wide net and take a gamble on their choice of top prospects. Also DC is going to have to pick up Adu somehow, my bet is that MLSHQ is going to have Adu in the draft to make it more sexy, that means DC is going to have to trade them a player (Convey) to get it.

In case anyone is interested here is the first round draft order.

    1. Dallas Burn
    2. Columbus Crew
    3. Dallas Burn (from LA, Suarez etc. trade)
    4. Dallas Burn (from DC, Cerritos trade)
    5. San Jose (from Col, Cannon trade)
    6. Kansas City
    7. Los Angeles (from MET, Gavin trade)
    8. New England
    9. San Jose
    10. New England
(Bizarrely, if Chicago is top 5, Revs get pick as part of Nowak fiasco

i think it will have to be more than just convey. More like convey and Alecko for adu and a pick..something along that line
