Mo Johnston interviews for head coach

    Interesting. I think Mo could be a pretty good MLS coach under the right circumstances. However, I'm not so sure he's the right guy to run an expansion franchise. It's a shame Yallop took off for the Galaxy.

    yeah i kind of pictured yallop being the perfect guy for the job....

    It would be interesting to see what Mo could do with a proper franchise though.

    He seemed to perform admirably with a knife to his throat and two different owners that never seemed to want him there.

    United Notes: Toronto, an expansion team that will begin play next year, is finalizing plans to introduce former New York coach Mo Johnston as its head coach, MLS sources said.

    United assistant Tom Soehn was the other finalist, but would not have been willing to accept the job during the current season. Toronto officials had indicated they wanted a coach in place soon. . . .

    Probably not, but who knows.

    However it looks like Mo will only be the coach not the GM or President.
