So I'm reading the new features up on MLSnet - the English site has one on New Years Resolutions of MLS players and staff. Pretty dull, as - gasp - most players resolve to win an MLS Cup. The feature on the Spanish site is one asking players which is the best and worse Christmas gift they have ever received. More entertaining, trust me, and it's a shame the English site doesn't have some of those responses up. http://www.mlsnet.com/MLS/news/esp_..._id=20478&vkey=news_esp_mls&fext=.jsp&lang=es However, this answer made me pause. "Una rueda enorme. Brain Kamler (Mediocampista), Real Salt Lake" First of all, it's BRIAN, not Brain - unless he's got Pinky as a sidekick. And his favorite X-mas gift is an enormous wheel? Then I realized - he probably gave his answer in English - "A Big Wheel" and man, I loved mine as a kid. But I don't think we ever called them Rueda Enorme in Spanish. I'm guessing some MLS Spanish fans are thinking poor Brain had some weird parents. Must've been, calling him Brain and all.
