Along with my routine visits to bigsoccer and other soccer websites, I always check out MLSnet.com. For God's sakes... How many times do I have to see that picture of Eddie Pope? I like the guy and all but... come on now! I know that there must be other pictures in the archives and I know that there would be at least some willing 'peeps' out there with professional camera stuff that would even be willing to do it for virutally nothing. Time to get some other pictures guys.
Haven't seen a picture of Pope on their homepage for a while, not in the last 2 days, anyway. The current picture is:
It's a great Web site. They have been putting up 2 or 3 new features/articles up everyday for at least the last few weeks. It is a lot better than it used to be. There is something cool to read everyday now. Give it a chance to get even better. As MLS grows, so will it's Web site. -Von
They have some kind of bug currently. Whenever I click on one of the game reports from the main page links in the all games summary my Mac IE crashes. But all in all I like the site and visit everyday.
The site is definately getting better. The one question I have is what happened to all the game pictures that they were posting at the beginning of the year? They don't seem to be putting pictures up anymore in a multimedia section after each game.
The only problem I have with the site is that it seems to take forever for the statistics to be updated after the weekend games. As of right now, the Budweiser Scoring Leaders is still not updated.
The site is much better than it has been in previous years. I love the highlights section, they have lots of new content every week, and it's (fairly) easy to navigate. I visit it four or five times a week. They are obviously trying to fill the soccer-coverage media void, and are doing a pretty good job of it. Overall, its a much better site than the NBA's (the only other league-run site I visit with any frequency).
