Has anyone seen this? I think its an incredible deal. No other league in the world offers this! Correct me if I am wrong, but this is amazing. 20$$$ for whole season plus playoffs??? woah http://ww2.mlsnet.com/products/
there have been a few threads on this... including one still on the front page of this forum it had been free until this weekend
https://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?t=333906 here you go... it was about 6 threads down the list
That's interesting... they're enforcing local blackouts. That means I'll have to spring for cable. I liked being able watch games I can't make for one reason or another. Sachin
huh but i swear it used to be more expensive no? and also that it used to be only live. I am confusing it with something elesE?
Are they going to improve the webcast quality, hopefully? No way would I pay $20/season if they're still going to have problems with buffering, etc.
no they aren't they are doing national blackouts meaning they aren't showing the espn2/abc or the exclusive hdnet games http://ww2.mlsnet.com/help/subscriptions/blackout.jsp
I think it might depend on how good your machine is, but at least on my laptop, it doesn't seem like they've improved things from previous seasons. it's still watchable for me but not the greatest quality.
Originally I was going to reply to this with a link from the inDemand Direct Kick page which also indicated that there would be regional blackouts (I know for certain this information was listed last year), even though we all know these games were never blacked out. But this language is now gone from that page. Additionally, there's this: http://www.directvsports.com/Packages/MLSDirectKick/Questions/ "Frequently Asked Questions about MLS Direct Kick Q: What are the blackout regulations? A: No blackout restrictions apply to MLS DIRECT KICK™."
This last season, I barely had any problems with buffering. Also, for some reason, the feed for Red Bull (formerly Metrostars) games seemed to be superior in image quality for some reason.
How incredible is a deal for only $20 more than what we were paying we can keep what we had for free!! I'm stoked i dont know about you guys!!
No improved streaming WMP only I'm not saying I don't think it's a good deal, just answering some questions that were out there. Anyone know if I would run into any complications with this if my IP address was in the UK?
It's done via their own player, but you can also play it via Windows Media Player if you copy the webfeed address and use the Open URL option on WMP. I don't know if that same process would work on Quicktime though. I'll be interested in seeing how it works tomorrow, seeing as how I just paid for the service. I'm not really clear on what's supposed to happen, and the e-mail from MLSnet.com only links me to the Technical FAQ section.
It's funny how they put the high quality picture with the media player outline. I already ordered it but I think the quality needs to go up in order to make it worth my money.I'd pay more for higher quality. I just want to help the league out for now though.
much better quality (more expensive/more games of course) http://mlb.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/mlb/subscriptions/mlbtv.jsp?partnerId=240x180_mlb_outofmarket
