http://www.pogowasright.org/article.php?story=20080208084547770 There is a thread elsewhere about this, but if some of you don't venture out of this forum and have purchased anything from MLSgear.com, check your credit cards. I had my Visa checkcard info stolen last year after I purchased mlslive.tv and someone in Rome spent over $700 on it (which Visa replaced within 24 hours ). I didn't know how they got my info at the time, but I saw a news release and then got a letter in the mail today from MLS. Although they screwed up, they are giving me, and anybody else that had their info stolen, a free year subscription to "ID TheftSmart." Check your cards, if you have bought something from MLS and don't keep an eye on that stuff.
Additionally, MLS has severed their relationship with the vendor responsibile for the security breach in their data. MLS has acted very responsibly in response to this incident (I work in the information security industry and I was impressed).
This is serious and real. I think these are the same guys that stole Ruiz from us for a bag of beans.
Now, don't make light of it. An SQL injection attack has to hurt. My sphincter is contracting as we speak.
