That's not really a fair comparison. The Dynamo could at least get approved for a Discover Card.

Di Vaio again. So does Houston actually suck this year, or is this another tease before they end up in the conference finals as always?

I now think of all of Ben Olsen's comments about the team needing bite differently.

Nice save by Perkins there after a ridiculously dumb pass out of the back.

So my wife walks into the house about 20 minutes into the Costa Rica/Greece game and goes "I'm cleaning out the garage, you wanna help or watch your game?"

I chose the garage, and I get the feeling I chose wisely.

So my fun World Cup stat today is tracking MLS players representing the USA at the World Cup.

    Notes:
    • Bob Bradley really hated MLS. Jurgen has completely rolled back the trend of Bunker Bob.
    • The 2014 World Cup is reversing the trend of 2002. Bruce steadily reduced MLS minutes in Korea, but Jurgen is increasingly relying on MLS players.
    • The Germany game tied the record for MLS starters (2 games in 1998)
    • Actually if you put the red card minutes back on the field, Bruce's 02 an 06 would've followed similar patterns of reduction.

    Numbers are:
    starters/subs minutes played

    1998 16 players
    559 6/3 vs Germany
    686 7/2 vs Iran
    630 7/3 vs Yugoslavia

    2002 11 players
    570 6/2 vs Portugal
    525 6/1 vs South Korea
    472 5/3 vs Poland
    419 5/2 vs Mexico
    375 4/2 vs Germany

    2006 11 players
    418 4/3 vs Czech Republic
    282 4/2+2RC vs Italy
    349 3/2 vs Ghana

    2010 4 players
    180 2/1 vs England
    135 2/0 vs Slovenia
    196 2/1 vs Algeria
    165 2/0 vs Ghana (a.e.t.)

    2014 9 players
    328 4/1 vs Ghana
    468 5/3 vs Portugal
    599 7/1 vs Germany
