So 0 west coast games last week, and now 3 this week, not including the stupid almost 11:00 ET start time on Thursday. C'mon MLS, spread them out!
Subscribing now, because I'm going to miss out later. Going out with my wife, for my birthday. Looking forward to reading about it all later.
I nearly fell asleep watching the women's 5000m run at the Reebok Grand Prix on NBC. Tyson Gay running his first 200m of the season in a blistering 19.58 definitely woke me up. I look forward to falling asleep during the matches. Please, no. Just PM me pictures of her.
Very funny -- and repped! By "it", I was referring to the day's games. Although lunch with my wife should also be quite nice.
KSE spends the big bucks to put Haynes and Balboa in front of a green screen in Denver for the game in NY.
Red Bull does that for every single road game. Joe Tolleson subbing for Tina Cervasio on the MSG broadcast, but Steve Cangelosi is still doing PbP. Odd.
Balboa talking about how Guerrero being out is a big loss and that the Rapids need depth on the left side. Harvey (LB) and Clark (LM) have played every minute of every league match this season.
Bright start in Giants Cesspool -- chances at either end. Not sure if this was the case in the Rapids' last game, but with Gibbs back tonight, they keep Palguta with him in central defense and slide Ihemelu to the right. Kimura tapped out as a starter for now.
No way the ball gets to him next season on the grass at Red Bull Park. Good early action both ways in NY.
Interesting fact, the Rapids have been in the air for 10,214 miles for the 4 games in the last 2 weeks.
Wow, on that replay it looked like Kandji had a chance to send Angel in on goal wide open but never looked to pass it. Angel frustrated early on, gives Kandji a disgusted look.
Smith has used this lineup on the road in the past, as well as the Seattle game at hime last week. He thinks Kimura is a better fit for the larger home field than the road fields.
That's the weakest part of Kandji's game, IMO. It's what's keeping him from being truly dominating but if he figures it out, he could be very dominant.
In what may be an MLS first, New England is going with the All Ginger central midfield of Pat Phelan and Jeff Larentowicz. Kevin Alston, meanwhile, is sporting an awesome fro!
