MLS TV Schedule Problem (FREE Shootout preview) Okay, It's been discussed a million times. But I'm a bit thick on this one. I see the listings for directv and dishnet for this weekend. But I see no listing for the cable "in demand" option. Is direct Tv also the listing for the indemand chanel or was I out to lunch when we realized that there would be no MLS shootout package for cable subscribers. Thanks for clearing this up for me. The Shootout package on cable was listed as free this week (free trial period) by Soccer America a few weeks ago. I'm eager to try it. Yes, I have fox sports world, but I'm greedy. Plus I want to watch my Crew this weekend and they aren't on espn2 or FSW this week. Follow UP INFO (edit) I checked out the inDemand website at: http://www.indemand.com/moviesandevents/viewProduct.jsp?page_sectionId=4&prodId=5692 They had me call 1-888-SPORTS-In They hooked me up w/ the local provider (Cox here in AZ). The local guy "Mike" first said there isn't a free trial. $44.10 for the season. They said it should be in the "600s" channel-wise. Then Mike confirmed there is a Free Preview April 12-19. So, everyone w/ InDemand should be getting the free preview. He suggested I Try channel #1 and #999 for scheduling info.
I suspect the iNDemand listings aren't there because the channels are not going to be consistent across cable providers.
I just signed up a few days ago with Comcast. It took quite a long time for the rep to find the right "code" (in fact, after half an hour, I hung up after he promised he would find it for me), but in the interim found a schedule, printed it out, and said he would send it to me. Haven't got it yet, though. Of course, he had never heard of the MLS Shootout package.
