I would not be surprised if the number of free games is greatly reduced over the next several years.

I just browsed the MLS library on Apple+ for the first time. I only spent maybe seven or eight minutes watching Crew content, and a couple more minutes just kind of scrolling through the library.

With just that quick glance, I’m pretty sure that’s the most MLS content I’ve ever seen in one place at one time since the league started.

And yet people are talking shit about it as though it's a step in the wrong direction.

Well, there's still a long way to go in terms of whether or not it will be a business success, or whether or not it will attract viewers. But they certainly seem to be committed to treating it like a big time asset.

I can't tell you how many people I've heard from who have expressed excitement that we finally have an extended profile of the Columbus Crew jackhammer celebration. I think MLS has finally made it.

How is this going to work for us Android users? I have 4 season tickets, but only 1 code. The 4 tickets are me, 2 kids and my dad. I don't have an iPhone and my dad that lives in another house doesn't have one eitheiPhone? 1 of the 2 kids has an iPhone 8 plus, but he might be moving out soon. How do I redeem the code without an iPhone? How do I set up family sharing without an iphone?

You can redeem the code without an iphone by clicking the link and tying it to a Apple ID. Family sharing from what I can find requires an Apple device. You could have the kid with an iPhone follow the link and tie it to their apple id, than have them setup the family share through their Apple ID. Hope that helps, not ideal but think it will work.

This is something they need to fix. They have a way to start a family share in Apple Music for Android so hopefully this gets added to TV.

Here is a thread from a call the NE Revolution SG had with Apple TV+.

    Highlights:

Watching games at a bar? They are working on this. No official answer at this time.

Match replays? All games will allow match replays. They plan on having a quick turnaround time to allow this to happen as soon as possible.

Streaming multiple games at once? Yes you can watch up to 6 games at once.

Option to pay for your team only? Ideally in the future.

Will free content remain free in future? Yes

Found a flaw in the Apple Family sharing - If the person you are adding to share the subscription with is already part of a different Family Sharing set up, it will ask them to leave their current family to join yours. So if you share a ticket account with a non-household member and you both already have existing Family Sharing set ups, it won't work unless the person leaves to join.

I share my 4 tickets with 2 friends. I took the free subscription and just ate the cost for my 2 friends, dropping what they owed me from $1188 to $1100. I could have tried to share the free subscription or worked out something more egalitarian, but just went for easy.

Essentially we did a similar thing. I took the free subscription and then paid 1/2 of the other guys subscription that I split tickets with. So we each got a discount instead of it being "free".

I guess it's individual season tickets for everyone in the group next year.

When they did the season ticket gift of the ring to one per account, last year I pulled my ticket to a separate account from my buddy. Glad I did that, seems like something they should have figured out. Doesn't cost them more to give more accounts out per ticket.

    Exactly.

It's totally within the rules and you might as well get 3-4 full sets of benefits instead of just one.

You're paying for those benefits, after all.

I got two rings for my 1 account last year.

I do share my tickets, but not evenly. If it was evenly shared, I'd probably suggest we split into two individuals so the other family can get an apple sub too.

Consider your self lucky. I received 1 ring and I had 6 season tickets. I've since dropped down to 4, but it still sucks to only get 1 gift for 4 season tickets.

I went the 99$ route hope we see a team who doesn’t fold late like last year. But I’m concerned about the announcers but if it’s a simple button push to hear Doran than at least we have options

It seems the radio option will only be for home games at first. (Chris Doran for home games, but opposing radio announcer for away games.)
