Lalas is too ugly for rv Wall to wall sponsors quite literally. While I can see why they need the revenue but the entire arena feels like someone built a stadium with the whole purpose of maximizing advertising
I have not been paying close attention to any individual players, as nobody has really stood out tonight. This is probably why. The Fire have no attacking focus.
Beric and Sapong need some service. I have seen nothing from Gimenez or Medran, other than a dive for a yellow by Gimenez. Frankowski is playing too far back to be very effective. Is Navarro even on the field and, frankly, I know nothing about him at all. They have not called Herbers since he came on (until just now, as he has a yellow).
Wicky’s philosophy* appears to be crap. As soon as we gain possession we turn forward with no regard for position or balance. It’s like rec league crap. *philosophy or tactics
We don't seem to have any tactics at all. I suspect he is still learning about the players and what they can (and cannot) do. I really do not see a player out there who is good with the ball at his feet. There is no player who has seems to have the ability or the will to take the game on and take control.
San Jose with the double the possession and double the passes. ...and just like that Wondolowski scores seconds after coming onto the field. He loses Sekulic easily. Calvo just standing there, looking lost.
Really bad performance overall. We didn't really start attacking until we were down. Just don't get any red cards and move on to the next game. We already lost a player to what might be a serious injury.
I know it is early in his Fire career, but what does Gimenez do? The Fire paid $4.5 million for him and I have not seen a thing from him.
So I was out and got home to turn the game on. Got to see the replay of the first goal and then the second goal. I immediately turned it off because I'm tired of watching garbage defending.
Well that would be good but I'm trying to lay back on that right now. I'm having a hard time remembering basic stuff recently.
I think we do, but when you have 30% possession for a large chunk of the game, how will that even happen? If 3/5 in the back makes that harder, then go back to a 4 man backline.
