Three MLS teams will be coming to Spain for the La Manga Cup held Feb 23 thru March 5th. The three are NY-NJ Metrostars, the Dallas Burn and San Jose Earthquaks. It looks like most of the teams are from Norway but I see Dinamo Kiev is entered and I'm curious what level (reserves/amateur) team they may send. Does anyone know any further details on the competition or tournament.

    Ohter teams:
    Bobo/Glimt, Norway
    Viking, Norway
    Odd Grenland, Norway
    Stabaek, Norway
    GIF Sundsvall, Sweden

In La Manga del Mar Menor, in Murcia, there is a large soccer complex with good fields and hotels, which I think is owned or run by Norweigan interests. So it is usual that they feature heavily in the tournament, which is set up to provide pre-season friendlies for the Scandinavian partner teams.

I saw on the Quakes page the schedule of the tourney is up, perhaps on other MLS club pages as well.

The La Manga Cup is a preseason tournament for clubs that play summer seasons - in the past it's been Norway, Sweden, and Russia, and last year MLS participated for the first time. So... everyone's going to come with their first team, but expect lots of subs, and expect everyone to be in preseason form.
