Evidently there was no other central defender worthy of the selection, so they picked Llamosa, even though he didn't really have that much impact on the game.

That choice probably cost the best player of the past week a spot in this week's best eleven team, since the Revs already had 3 players on it:

    Shalrie Joseph

I would have selected Joseph as the player of the week, just based on that feed to Ralston for the 3rd goal vs. the Fire alone.

Honestly, I haven't seen a through pass made that quickly and accurately in MLS since Valderama was in his prime.

While I personally thought Kamler had a better overall game than Joseph, I will agree with you that SJ's assist on the Ralston goal was awesome, a frontrunner for "Assist of the Year" (if there is such a thing). Ralston didn't have to alter his path to the goal at all, and the ball was right on his feet. Sweet.

You're kidding right? I can remember at least 3 shots he got in the way of, at least 2 critical dispossesions in the box, and 2 forward clearances to unmarked Rev players that begun a counter. That was just in the Fire game. I watched the KC game on TV, so I comment as well on that one, but he did have a solid game then too.
