Bump? After one minute? Settle down there, turbo.

I'm sure somebody will show up with an answer. Last date I heard for it was Feb 28(?)...

there was an email from soccer america (the normal daily or mls-confidential) that said the supplemental draft was now in doubt

some of the names on the list weren't appreciated by their owners in the a-league... which is further troubled by the fact there is no agreement on player compensation/movement between the two leagues

    should be fun

Screw the A-League! It is and always will be a minor league for MLS. I like the A-League, but they have to realize they will never be the top league in this country. They need to cooperate with MLS and let their best players advance up. Hopefully one day we'll have a system similar to MLB.

Hear, hear !!! The A-League needs to recognize their role is to develop players who need a bit more seasoning to play at MLS level. Maybe we could have a relegation system where the worst MLS team drops down to the A-League and the A-League champ joins MLS. Maybe that would pacify the A-League. And it would also prove the disparity between the leagues when every year the A-League champ would come up, then go right back down.

    VON9905, you have nailed it...

"I like the A-League, but they have to realize they will never be the top league in this country. They need to cooperate with MLS and let their best players advance up. Hopefully one day we'll have a system similar to MLB. "

maybe the USSF can strong arm the A-league into their rightful place, or maybe MLS can negotiate individual terms with each of the A-league teams.

    and cudos to motown mike..

"The A-League needs to recognize their role is to develop players who need a bit more seasoning to play at MLS "

i totally agree with you guys....the A-league should accept their place in american soccer...maybe MLS teams should boycott playing A-league teams until there is a mutual agreement.....

    any feedback?

ps- yup, this thread was supposed to be for the MLS suplemental draft...i know...
