Agreed...I've been told many different things but those things have been proven untrue. The main one I heard was that if you're a senior and you make first team all-region you're automatically put on the list. This was false. Any ideas?

    You have to:

    1) Be already signed with the league (Gen adi guys typically) and get a free MLS Combine pass, or

    2) Be selected as a draft eligible senior to the MLS Combine (comittee of college and MLS coaches), or

    3) Be be recommended to the league for inclusion on the draft list by at least 1 MLS team

    There are no "automatic" assignments.

in theory every MLS coach has to list any player he is thinking about taking. cause other wise the player can't be taken. So in essence that's where the lsit comes from, the MLS coaches submit names.
