A number of informative press releases:

The draft will begin at 2:30 CT and is open to the public for the first time.

It's also being held in conjunction with the NSCAA convention, and a lot of dignitaries, foreign and domestic, will be around...

In addtion to a number of announcements to be made at the draft, Puma will be showcasing the new ball and unveiling the new Fire line at the draft....plus there's sure to be a few suprises in store for us playerwise and it's always nice to greet the new blood.

Anyhow, this is sounding like a pretty good weekend if you can manage it.

Who can we count on with our picks? (Particularly in the first round.) Any ideas?

Our first pick is in the second round 18th overall. We traded our first round pick for salary cap room to sign vauderill, what a horrible move that was.

Wasn't like we had much choice. It was about as forced a move as is possible in this league.

So is anyone interested in going? Sure, KC is no Cancun for a post-Christmas weeknd trip, but this sounds like it might be fun.

  6. It's King Day weekend too. Monday off for a lot of us.

Didn't we get a second pick overall (along with Faria) from the Metros for Bradley? I seem to remember something to that effect....

This has been answered before on another thread but the pick we got was for the 2004 draft not the 2003.
Actually we had traded our second round pick to DC for perez but the 18th pick in the 2003 draft that we do have was actually originally colorado's but I don't remember how we got that one.
