Giant kerfuffle in the Honduras-USA game in the 26th - did Honduras score?

Steffan with a terrible decision leading to a Honduras SOG, cleared off the line impressively by Sargent. Not sure what led to the hard feelings.

Nice shot from Sargent - would've been fun to see him with a great headed play on both goals in the same five minute period.

Is there an old landline ringing in the background?

    Honduras should have scored again.

Lletget is not cutting it as a CM. His cherry-picking is limited to frriendlies. Not in this tense game.

No luck on his "deftly placed" free kicks either - no chances on goal on 3-4 good opportunities.

Well look at that. I turn the game on and the US does a thing.

My analysis from not watching this game. We need more players playing at the highest level in order to dominate games like this. Until we start calling in more players that have played in the pressure cookers that are CONCACAF Champion's League games then we will never dominate games like this.

I think it may be time to evolve past the point where we just assume the CONCACAF is easy. This was certainly not an MLS squad tonight. In fact, this roster might be littered with more Euro-based guys than we've ever had at one time.

Either playing in Europe isn't all its cracked up to be, or CONCACAF is harder than we've all been giving it credit for.

CONCACAF has always been underestimated by the US, and the rest of the Confederations in the world.

I had to stop watching the Mexico game. Those announcers are just embarrassingly bad.

It could have been better no doubt, but man, it’s like a lot of USMNT fans don’t realize the other team wants to win as well.

A lot of times they don’t. A lot of times they just want to roll around on the carpet for 90 minutes and take their chances after the draw.

    Thx,

    Jay!

If you’re watching TUDN, the one guy looks like the thing. And I’m imagining he’s the one droning on, putting me to sleep.
