Watching the boring ChampionsWorld broadcasts with the teams with their corporate sponsorships on their chests reminded me of what a business soccer really is and that got me thinking about MLS, which in turn got me thinking about their sponsorship deals. Anyone know what the companies pay, per year, to be official MLS sponsors and have their logo on the back of an MLS jersey? Do Kraft, Honda, Pepsi (Sierra Mist), Frito Lay, Aquafina, Radio Shak, etc.. all pay the same thing annually and how much is it? I did a few google searches and couldn't come up with anything and would appreciate any information.
Personally, I don't know. I too would like to know of this. I have a hard time understanding why the MetroStars don't have a sponser on their shirt. There's gotta be a sponser somewhere in NYC that would support the Metros.
