Somewhat off topic, but has anybody with Comcast (was AT&T Digital), in Mass, try to order the MLS Shootout package with any success? I've called twice, with no luck. They keep me on hold for about 30 minutes trying to find the package.
I sent them an e-mail last week, and their response was that the package would be available in May, "when the season opens."
I would think the announcement that Fox Sports World is making a major broadcast commitment to MLS this season will make people think twice about bothering with the Shootout package.
Comcast also wanted $20 more than the suggested retail price. I already have FoxSportsWorld, and season tickets to the Revs, so I don't see the point in being gouged any further. There was a thread about this a few weeks back.
I ordered Shootout 2day with Directv, but had to do it over the phone. Their website says it isn't even available. The website says you enjoy discounted fees if you stay on the automatic renewal. I asked the rep about the availability of the package and she immediately used the 'automatic renewal' discount as a selling point. I then asked her what exactly was the discount. She looked it up, and it appears THERE IS NO DISCOUNT. Same price, $49 and change. Which kind of witchKraft is this?
I called Comcast a week ago and they said they would have the codes today. So I called today and was told that that it would NOT be available in Newburyport. Anyone have other experiences?
shootout I got through this afternoon with Comcast, after a half hour she said she would check with her supervisor. When she came back she said that all the games would be available on ESPN and ESPN2. I said all 115 of them she said yes. What are they smoking over there?!?! I can't wait for the day that statement was true.
