I am at college in San Luis Obispo, and when I called my local charter communications cable company about the MLS Shootout package, nobody knew what I was talking about. They said that the only soccer they show is the English Premier League. Can anyone who has this package please tell me how to get it because i can't stand missing A) my playoff home games which i have tickets for but can't make wednesdays or B) the away Crew and future games which will just be on Fox sports BA which i don't have. Please tell me what the deal is.

That is about the same response I always got from AT&T Broadband. When I found out for sure that they were not going to show the Shootout Package, that led to a good decision. Drop them and go with one of the satellite dealers, either DishTV or DirecTV. I chose DishTV, maybe I should have take Direct because they have the games in the middle of the week, although Dish has got tomorrow's playoff games. Besides the PVR recorder that you get (not free, but I think it's a bargain at 99 bucks) is way beyond what AT&T and their digital cable can provide.

Are you sure about this? I went to the online guide and did not see any listings for the playoff games.

Somebody, somewhere, called Dish and got information from their customer service drone about which channels the games would be on tomorrow. It is somewhere on BigSoccer, either in "Business and Media" or one of the MLS forums.

    Edit: found it: https://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?threadid=15361

    Sept 28th game

so which game is going to be on what channel? I don't really care for Wed. game because I'm going to be there. :) However, I need to see Saturday's game but I don't have cable. Will the Brit be showing Saturday's game or will I need to find someone who can tape it for me?

Game is on FSBA so expect the Brit (downtown, Almaden, or Cupertino) to show it live.

Thanks for the info, im pretty much stuck with charter cuz of the internet and stuff. The weird thing is the website says they offer the shootout package, but after looking for it for a half hour they said it is ppv on saturdays and it isn't popular enough in my area. Im sure its just cuz they have no idea what they are doing. Thanks anyways

Wouldn't be the first cable company that's that way.

AT&T lets you buy Cable Internet, even without cable TV. Maybe Charter does too. Then you can get the dish for the same cost as cable. Don't give up so easy!

preferablly near the SF State area but anywhere around SF would be cool.

Thanks due time, I meant i was stuck cuz im living with three other guys who don't follow soccer and would not understand how incredibly important this is. It would be too much trouble for them. How sad

by the way put Santana in at attacking mid and put Ekelund at defending mid
