Crew plays New England at 7:30 p.m. Saturday in Foxboro after the Revs' 2-0 dousing of the Fire.

....OR they play at 4:00 PM on Sunday afternoon.

I think Franchino got himself suspended with that last yellow card tonight, but I'm not certain of that.

I like our chances. Besides the fact we've been playing quite well of late, I always think we match up will with the Revs. Hopefully the long layoff hasn't produced any rust.

And what's this? A chance to go for the Cup, and we DON'T play DC? It's a sign I tell you!

I think that was another recent unpublished change, Toon. I just caught it on the telecast tonight.

And they wonder why attendance is weak...

    Thanks Raoul...

BTW, it looks as if our friends in Naperville will be supporting the Tea Men in the semfinals.

Yeah, saw the game. Should be a good series with lots of pace and little in the cheap plays the Fire has demonstrated so well.

I thanked the Revs. for taking out the trash.

Smells better in the league already -- No Fire, No MUTroTars, No Markmoo Itchyhairy! :D

Yeah, I just checked out the Chicago and NE
boards, and I'd say they were breaking out the baby oil by about now.

i think well lose, just because MLS wants New England to win a championship, cause theyre fans suck, and dont come out if they dont have a good team (unlike us...), so MLS wants them to win (or at least play) MLS cup in their own stadium.

    hence, we are ************ed.

Really, your fans come out? I'm a Revs fan and was in Columbus for MLS Cup 2001, and it was pretty hard pressed to find your fans. I recall we had 36,000 in a monsoon, and 44,000 on a day similar to what your game was. Isn't the latter more than double what you guys had? Enough with the conspiracies. We'll beat you regardless!

uh, our team wasnt playing. why the hell would we come out to see two teams play that we could give a flying ************ about. i mean, if i had, say, bought tickets to a MLS Cup match that required travel arrangements, id go regardless of whether columbus were in it or not, just cause itd be a hassle to cancel all that ************... but living here, it was very easy...

and those two figures are both over 10k more than the capacity of crew stadium... say... what do you guys usually draw on wednesday matches?

So you are saying that Revs fans show up only for the MLS Cup final in droves but when it comes to watching their own team, the number fall dramatically?

Good. I wouldn't want it any other way.

All that "Boy, you Chicago fans sure are classy" crap on both boards is enough to make me puke.

"Gee, you Fire guys look tense. Would you like a massage?"

I think Razov and Beasley were taking up for their "classy fans" yesterday.

Fire fans are a strange lot. They adopt San Jose as tehir pet team during last years finals casue the Galaxy knocked their squad out. Now the Revs knock their squad out and the adopt the Revs as their squad. Like a said a very sad, confused lot.
Toss the earlier games this season between these two out the window. The game that most resembles how these two teams are playing now was that 0-0 draw at the stadium a few weeks back. And in my opinion thats a game we shoulda had were it not for a couple great saves by Brown on Cunningham.
I really think this series goes three games. I am quite confident that our boys can get a draw in NE for game one.

    caution points

not yet, he has 8 (so does hernandez) - 3 away from a game suspension

kante has 6 and llamosa and pierce have 4

knock on wood - i am very surprised that the crew only have 1 player with 4 points(clark) especially after playing the team that cries and falls down so much

I have a feeling some of them won't care... Do they cheer for the team who just beat them or do they cheeer for us?

    1) there were about 15 sporting events in columbus that weekend

    2) columbus fans cheer for Crew. F everyone else.

    3) Where are all those 36K and 44K fans now.

go away you ************. Your stadium sure looked nice last night. Nice PATRIOTS logos all over everything.

    Game 1 - Draw (1-1)
    Game 2 - Win (4-1)
    Game 3 - ????

Remember it's the first to five so two draws and a win get us through.

IMO, It's easier than best of three, and they might be getting rid of it??

Columbus will blow NE out of the ************ing water. IN 2, YES 2 and you guys can go home and your mngmt can sell your team to TULSA because the people down there care more about the game then you guys.........hell, they might as well sell the REVS to HELENA MONTANA, the attendance would be twice as good as in NE! haha

Not sure if anyone has come on to correct this statement, but this is a total crock. While our history has been one of mediocrity, New England's has been pure crap, yet there fans still have turned out in droves.

    Edit:
They all happen to be douchebags though.
