Was wondering if anyone has heard anything about how season ticket sales are going for the upcoming year?

The only hint of information I have heard was when Johnny Moore resigned from the Quakes' GM post. He was quoted - or the article which announced his resignation was quoted as saying - that the Quakes were "leading the league" in season ticket renewals, and percentage increase in season ticket sales.

    FWIW.

Thats good news for San Jose. It will be interesting to see if the Galaxy have a high renewal rate with the HDC. Everyone who goes there seems to have a positive experience.

But then in the State of the Smurfs address last week, didn't somebody say that SJ can't continue playing in the most expensive facility w/ the league's lowest season tx sales? That seemed to indicate that renewals weren't going so hot.

It would seem that they would. SJ finished hella strong and captured a lot of ppl's attention in the Bay Area.

I may have misreported it. By "leading the league in season ticket renewals", it may be more along the lines of "% of season ticket holders from last year who are renewing" or something like that. I may not be remembering it quite right.

And they have an onerous lease. Even with twice the season ticket sales, I'm not sure it would makek a helluva whole lot of difference in the long run.

    Yes, but...

Yes, to the extent the stadium itself can provide a good experience, Victoria Street is a gem

But, it is VERY expensive and the on-the-field product was not a big contributor to season ticket-holders having a positive experience.

I did renew, but mostly because I have clients I can take to games and write off as business expenses. If it were not for that, I would have thought twice, or looked at a part-season package, or downgraded to seats in a cheaper section.
