Burst onto the scene with 11 goals in his rookie campaign, his power and pace causing many a defender some difficult moments and leading to his selection as MLS Rookie of the Year. Second on the team to Ante Razov in goals, the pair formed a formidable strike partnership. The club’s second-round pick out of Univ. of Connecticut in the 2003 SuperDraft. His play led to another appearance with Jamaica, against Brazil in October. International: Jamaica 2/0

this is the write up MLS had about ralph under the team breakdowns. Had armas as comeback player of the year.....someone let the cat out of the bag?
it has since changed to say they are finalists.
Anyone wanna put money on Noonan getting second place?

Hmmm, that reminds me of last year's press luncheon where they announced the MVP and other awards. Ther was a placard in front of Ruiz's seat with the tag line of 2002 MLS MVP. This was an hour or so before the announcement was actually made.

Maybe the guy who runs the MLS website needs to learn to use the "do not display" function where you can prepare material and not have it show up until you want to make the announcement. Kinda like when they let the cat out of the bag with contration, and they very briefly had a bar going across the top of the site without the Miami and Tampa logos about a week before it happened.

He probably took lessons from the WUSA PR department, who announced that Maren Meinert was the league MVP in a release a few days before the announcement.
