according to www.mlsgear.com , all 2003 mls replica jerseys will be a similiar design, and will be made available in MANY different sizes. It would be great to finally be able to get a MLS size xxl jersey.
Chicago Colorado Colombus Dallas D.C. Kansas City L.A. New England Super Metro Super Metro Oi Oi Oi !! San Jose
Unfortunately, KC, Chicago, LA, and DC's jerseys look absolutely nothing like the ones pictured. Oh well. At least the Revs one looks pretty close to normal.
These must be practice jerseys or something... neither the 2003 Earthquakes home nor away jersey looks like that (although it would have been cool if the real upcoming jerseys did have a collar). -G
I think they look nice, especially for replicas. I'd rather have those shirts then the official jerseys worn in 1996.
I think they look very nice, and for $30, I can get 2 for the price of 1 authentic jersey..... sounds good to me
all we need to see is Donovan turn his collar up like he's Cantona. Boy would that be something...jump through the stands at Victoria Street and take a chunk outta some galaxitive...heheheh
Re: Re: MLS replica jerseys 2003 or.... a size XXL soccer jersey is really a size XL normal American clothing size...
Well, replicas usually at least bear some resemblance to the original. A couple of those jerseys don't look anything like the real ones. I'm not saying it's not a bad buy... $30 is good. But I would much rather have an authentic replica - oxymoron, i know - than one of those bad boys, regardless of price.
Well, it's kinda tough to get an authentic jersey, since they usually only make it for the players themselves. So unless you get one straight from the player himself, getting a truly authentic jersey is damn near impossible.
it's odd that for some sports you can buy either an authentic or a replica jersey very easily, like in hockey, but in soccer, getting authentic jerseys are damn near impossible. But is there really THAT big of a difference between replica jerseys and authentic jerseys these days?
First thing, those kits aren't replicas. The whole point of a replica is that it replicates the jersey actually worn by the team. As for the difference between an authentic and a replica jersey, at least in soccer, is that the authetic jersey will have everything that a game-worn jersey will, whereas the replica won't have a player name or number and some cases might not even have all the jersey sponsors' logos.
