OK, so we're going to give this a whirl. I missed the old WPL last season, and I'm not good enough at math to run it myself, so I'm starting up a prediction league. The rules are simple: You guess the results for the games that week. You get 3 points if you get it exactly right, 1 point if you get the right result, but incorrect score, and 0 points for an incorrect result or a missed pick. The winner with the most points that week will win the weekly cup, and get 2 points added to their overall total. If we have multiple winners that week, all winners will receive 1 bonus point. To keep things interesting for the whole season (and to keep more than 5 people playing), we will have an apertura and clausura, but still keep stats for the total of the season. There are 32 weeks in the season, so starting the 17th week, we will start up the clausura. Lastly, if there is a week where less than 5 matches are being played (for example, the fourth week of the season only has 3 matches) we will combine that week with the following week. Pick the games, then watch them. It's fun. Your first week's schedule is below.
Week 1 Red Bull New York : Toronto FC Orlando City : Real Salt Lake Chicago Fire : New York City FC Houston : New England FC Dallas : Philadelphia San Jose : Colorado Portland : Columbus Vancouver : Montreal Seattle : Sporting Kansas City Los Angeles : DC United
Ok, here goes. Based on nothing but the meaningless preseason, and the kind of gut feel for assessing the lay of the land that brought Custer such glory at Little Big Horn , I go with...... Red Bull New York- 1 --Toronto FC-1 Orlando City -2 --Real Salt Lake-0 Chicago Fire -2 --New York City FC-1 Houston 0-- New England-2 FC Dallas-3-- Philadelphia-1 San Jose- 2 --Colorado-0 Portland-1 -- Columbus-2 Vancouver -3-- Montreal-2 Seattle- 2-- Sporting Kansas City-2 Los Angeles -2-- DC United-1

Just don't make it so confusing that I can't figure it out. These are good examples: Team A 0:0 Team B Team A 0-0 Team B Team A : Team B 0-0

Here's your Week 2 thread. This week, we only had 12 players, so if it stays around that amount, we may just keep it confined to a single thread. http://forums.bigsoccer.com/threads/mls-prediction-league-2016-week-2.2029825/
