Not really. If people can fight traffic to get to midweek Atlanta games then surely Chicago can do better than this. But their performance on the field is clearly the bigger issue right now. Yikes! Hope they pull one back to make it a game.
Atlanta’s stadium is downtown and the team is exciting. Chicago’s stadium is in about the worst location one could pick in the MSA and the team is dull.
90% of the city and suburbs would be in the same boat; why spend 4 hours round trip on a work/school night? It’s not like going to Wrigley where you’re a drive to a red line train stop away.
Agree on the location being bad for Chicago. But I'm not sure they're dull; after all, they are the #3 seed in the East. Lots of talent on that team.
Compared to Atlanta, which was your analogy, the Fire are like watching someone watch paint dry. The best I could call the Fire would be...I dunno, dull yet effective? It’s like watching West Brom or something.
I'll readily admit I don't watch the Fire regularly. But I'm still surprised about the lack of attendance given their record this year. Anyway, I know less about Chicago than Chicago fans so I will defer to you all.
Any Brooklyn Nine Nine fans? Everytime I hear an announcer say “Nikolic” I hear Boyle correcting the pronouncation of his son’s name. “Nik-O-laj” I’m betting the audience for this joke is pretty much just me...
