Personally, I hate the MLS playoff structure. Soccer isn't a sport that's condusive to a series because unlike baseball/basketball/hockey, you can't really play on consecutive nights or twice in three days. So the drama and intensity of several games in several nights is lost. To say nothing of the bizarre best of 5 setup.

Make it a two-leg, total goals playoff. Make it so the higher seeded team hosts the 2nd leg and make it so the higher seeded team automatically wins any tiebreaker. That means, the lower seeded team has to flat out beat (on aggregate) the higher seeded team. No away goals crap. This makes the playoffs a little less long (they don't draw well anyway), adds a little more intensity while ensuring some kind of an advantage for the higher seeded team.

Of course, my ideal would either be no playoffs (regular season champion is the champion) or a final between the top two, but I know that's not going to happen.
