RSL and NYRB have been talked about, but not "announced" (RSL's is farther along toward that, with the stadium deal.) I think they said RSL's will play at Rio Tinto until the 8,000 seat place is built. NYRB, don't know. But that list above appears to be the list as we know it so far.
Looks like the CSA signed off on USL Pro teams for the MLS clubs http://www.canadiansoccernews.com/i...canadian-quotas-for-usl-pro-sanctioning-r4815
The Hamilton attempt for TFC was killed off earlier in the year when the city turned it down saying they prefer a D2 NASL team instead. Putting a team in the Toronto metro area is a much smarter move IMHO and won't have the problems the Hamilton bid encountered. With the Whitecaps New Westminster reserve team the city was asking the Caps last week for more time to iron out details on the reno/expansion of the QE park baseball stadium - Caps said no to an extension as it seems they have to meet the September 15 deadline. So slight potential problem there but hopefully they sort things out.
Has the USL PRO actually acknowledged any of these teams? I was looking at their website, and I have not seen any announcements about additions. If FC Montreal has been confirmed by the Impact, why haven't they been confirmed by USL PRO too?
nothing has been official since the deadline to turn in the paperwork to usl is september 15th. Look for alot of announcements around then
On a side note, the team bar at the top of the USL website currently has an opening for another team logo
this was mentioned in another thread I thought I would mention it here http://www.themonitor.com/sports/ho...cle_77f86752-37db-11e4-ace8-0017a43b2370.html
Good to see the Dynamo making plans of their own. Have to think that getting more of their own homegrown players on the first team would help some with drawing crowds and attention. Plus, if Dayton folds (please, let them fold or get some real, involved, knowledgeable owners) that frees up Pittsburgh to become Columbus' affiliate
I understand that FC Dallas is considering affiliating with either Austin or Tulsa for 2015 and starting their own usl pro side in 2016.
Hopefully Dallas affiliates with Austin because I have no clue who the next closest affiliate is (Granted, proximity doesn't really matter, but still, it seems better to have a closer affiliate than a farther one). I think Colorado would be the next closest one, I don't think they have an affiliation, but I would much rather prefer Austin to get Dallas than Colorado.
according to all the MLS gm's that are considering the "MLS 2" option there is no more time. They all say that September 15th is the deadline to apply for expansion to the USL Pro, and they say that the deadline is firm. We will see if the league has any exceptions to this pretty soon though.
First off..."the deadline is firm" makes me laugh. Second off, if all the MLS GM's say this, there must be evidence of them all saying it, right? I've seen, I believe, one story with that supposed deadline and it came from Duane Rollins, who would have me setting my alarm to make sure if he wrote that the sun was going to come up tomorrow.

it looks like the houston dynamo bid isn't until 2016 http://playingfor90.com/2014/09/09/houston-dynamo-eye-usl-pro-team-2016/
