Yeah, the team valuation numbers show it with absolute clarity - Kraft's $25M is worth at least 10x that now.

That financial wobble with Miami and Tampa was an interesting time in MLS' history, but I think the big $$ guys were never thrown off their belief in the league.

Barça-imi continues. Jordi Alba joins Busquets and Messi in Miami.

They got in trouble for breaking the rules just a year or two ago, and now they're just making up the rules as they go.

Yeah, so supposed Alba could have gotten a significant contract in the middle east, yet comes to Miami for a minimal salary? Sounds very fishy to me. How would we now that he wasn't promised other revenues in lieu of salary? Maybe Messi will pay him a couple of million to skim his pool - or maybe let his family live for free in the carriage house - or be a very expensive private coach for Messi's kids - or ...

Fountas' contract terminated with DC United. He had 6 goals and an assist this year in 17 games.

I'm not sure this is a good thing, unless the player was unwilling to accept responsibility and/or commit to treating everyone with the respect they deserve on and off the field going forward.

Booting him feels like a failure to me, allowing the team to act like they've stood up to racism, while avoiding the hard work to really deal with it.

It was after the second instance of a racist incident with Fountas. I think if anything, DC was too accommodating of him.

In case you hadn't heard, Inter Miami's season ticket pricing for 2024 has absolutely gone insane. The cheapest tickets in 2023 are going up 82% next year. If Messi leaves after next year, they better sign the "next Messi" or they'll be reducing prices in 2025.

Heck, they'd better hope his legs hold up for all of 2024, otherwise those will be very expensive tickets just to watch Messi sitting on the bench or worse, in the owner's box.

Miami drops points again. Their margin for error is getting pretty slim, although if they get that guy back, who would bet against them winning 4 straight?

With most of the top point-getters in the east, the Revs are 4th overall in points (3rd in the east, mere percentage points behind Orlando for 2nd).

What the heck happened to LAFC? Stormed out of the gate, including giving us a pasting, only to stumble along with a bare-winning record.

And SL, almost the opposite - started strong, stumbled for a while, but gathering enough to run away with the west.

Slim indeed, I would say 10 points from their last 4 games would probably do it though, I think a loss pretty much sinks them

With three games left in the season, Cincy can beat the Revs MLS Single Season Points total if they win all three. One loss or tie, and the Revs will hold the record for another season.

If it has to happen the same year we lost BA (and maybe our mojo), the record that BA lead the team to being taken away by an ex-Rev, ex-BA assistant lead team works for me.

Cincy lost to Red Bulls last night, meaning the Revs season point record is safe.

While it hurts to give praise to a Red Bull, I begrudgingly have to admit I've been impressed by John Tolkin these last two games.

The 21-year-old LB steps up in 90+4' of a 0-0 draw to take a PK with the season on the line (win or end a 13-year playoff streak), and buries it. He had never taken a PK before (not including Leagues Cup).

He follows that up last night with a clinical free-kick goal, and adds 2 assists for good measure. He has put that team on his back, which is rare for someone his age.

He's going to give DeJuan Jones some competition for the 2026 World Cup roster.
