Don't these rules take away one of SKC's most frequently used tactics?

Can't read the Athletic articles but YAY! the pro refs are back and I am all for ending the dark art of time wasting.

Ok hear me out: What if...and I'm just spitballing here...we tell European stars that KC is a coastal city. We don't tell them until after the contract is finalized that its the coast of a river.

Does he really fit what they do? I’m not convinced. That said, Mahomes needs to bring in Griezmann

He plays at my rival, Milan, so I see him a lot.

LAFC aren't getting much from their No.9, Bogusz. With Boyanga on the LW and Olivera on the right, they are set up like Milan with Pulisic and Leao.

Giroud isn't fast, but he'll score goals with service and he's very good at playing in his dynamic wingers.

Griezmann is also French, so don't get you hopes up for KC

Always one of my favorite reads every year and maybe on its own justifies my Athletic subscription, the anonymous GM survey.

    https://theathletic.com/5370972/2024/03/27/mls-executives-survey-messi-almada-inter-miami/

I will deviate from topic a bit to just say, it's really unsurprising that SKC is almost not brought up at all, save 1 who says PV is the top head coach, and no I don't think PV the GM (or Bliss whoever did the survey for SKC if they did it) said himself.

An Athletic subscription is a great investment. I enjoy mine.

Bradley Carnell also received a vote as top head coach

Our peers are New England, Vancouver, San Jose, DC United, Austin, Charlotte, etc. We're irrelevant.

Oh I do too, I love it, I was just saying the anonymous GM survey on its own justifies it for me.

I received an Athletic subscription when the New York Times acquired the Athletic and they included it for free with any paid NYT subscription. I have been very impressed with their coverage, especially my two favorite sports, soccer and NBA.

Okay, so congrats to Columbus, for curb-stomping Monterrey, home and away wins, and playing them off the field at Monterrey. Nancy's comments after the game. You need a system and you need to work that system. Hmmm

He's a perfect example of what a coach can do for an organization. He made Montreal relevant and turnes Porters Columbus disaster into MLS champ and Monterrey slayer.

They won 5-2 on aggragate, 2-1 and 1-3,
That was kind of what we did, wasn't it?

So I was thinking of the series we won when you said that. Yes, we lost to Monterrey 5-0 and 5-2.

And I was being snarky because v Monterrey we went out and played our game, and got played off the field. Yet here come Nancy, using the same Pep-lite tactical approach, and destroys what I thought was a really, really good Monterrey side.

That Messi kid, he might be all right for Miami. His first assist against RBNY was one of those only in MLS is that an assists assists. The rest of the game (the other 5 goal contributions) was one of those only Messi things. It really is a joy to watch the guy.

Yes, he's leading MLS in both goals and assists. Suarez is second in goals. I know the haters want to think Miami is old and washed up, but they are the best in MLS. Only Columbus can stop them.

I'm not sure they're washed, but I'll be interested what the summer in Miami does to that team, especially with Copa America.

I agree. I mean, the Miami heat will knock out just about any human, and maintaining a Supporters Shield pace? That's gonna be tough.
But they will definitely make the playoffs, and i have no idea who stops them when they're all back, playing in sane weather and all healthy (which I am sure is Tata's plan).
Now, it's true that Messi's numbers would put him close to the end of the bench ( in the NBA), but the man is putting up 3 goals/assists per 90 right now. I have no idea how to react to that. It's clear no one in MLS does, either.
And the more Messi and Saurez play together, the better they get.
We know they love the League's Cup, but they can take off a couple weeks/month on either side of that, and still wreck the league.

On this notion, it would be a fun idea to see who ends their season with more pts and assists per game. Messi or Kevin Love, of the Heat. Make it goals per game, and it's clearly Messi right now
