Saw part of the 2nd half. St. Louis, down a man, had 11 men all packed into the final 3rd. Nice play by Donnery and Leroux (assist) to score. Then a really good effort by Medina to find his way around 5 guys in the box and sneak a shot in. The game seemed really slow, I guess because St. Louis was so packed in and not trying too hard to attack. Baby Cade got 10 minutes or so. I guess he hasn't hit his growth spurt. He looks like a bit of a munchkin, with his shorts down to his knees. Looks like he has pretty good speed but not Cade level speed.
Good for them. They've quietly had a very good season. They are 4th right now. Most likely they will host a playoff game? Unless they crater (not sure how many games left) this is the best finish by a Quakes I or Quakes II team in a long time. I continue to be shocked at how much Donnery has improved this season. At the beginning of the season I used to say it was like playing with 10 or 10 and 1/2 men when he was out there. Now he's one of their best players, and can play wide or in the center. He just turned 19 a few months ago. He's 6'3" / 6'4" but not a Pellegrino like stick, and with pretty good feet. Not sure if he's got enough speed to make it to D1 but he may have a chance.
