The score so far is: 0 - 0 GO THE TOWN FC!!! -G P.S. = Please don't post results of other soccer games and other sports' games in this thread until at least 24 hours after they've ended.
This game is scheduled to be broadcast live on MLS Season Pass at 6:55pm PDT. Apple TV MLS Season Pass GO THE TOWN FC!!! -G
This will be The Town FC’s home opener and one of three home games played at PayPal Park this season. GO THE TOWN FC!!! -G
For a second there I was confused by the stylistic similarities between Austin's crest and this (much superior) one:
Apparently, the time for this game is now 7 PM, not 3 PM. I first saw the 7 PM time on the webcast on youtube, then I confirmed it on MLS Season Pass and the Town FC, Earthquakes and Ticketmaster websites. I couldn't find any time change announcement on the internet nor have I received any notification from the Quakes.

The Town FC have published A Letter to Quakes Season Ticket Holders, which confirms the 7 PM start time and states that they have sold 5500 tickets to this match.
Crazy if The Town FC ends up outdrawing the first team for a game. I don’t think that has ever happened in the first few years.
I'm actually quite surprised, and a bit skeptical, about the 5k number. Where are these people coming from? Quakes II typically got what, a few hundred attendees? Only thing I can figure out is that it's "The Town" season ticket holders?
And 80% of them won't physically show up for this game in San Jose. But attendance is always "tickets sold/distributed" not "butts in seats" so that doesn't matter. They'll get to claim a big number.
True though if they have anywhere near 5k season ticket holders I’d be impressed. I don’t know what the price is but maybe if it’s really low and they sold a bunch to youth soccer families and stuff. And if cost is low there’s little “waste of money” to not show up for games.

Not sure the math works out on that unless individual game tickets are not normally $1, or it includes parking or VIP seats or something.
Apparently one truck driver is bringing 100 people to PPP? What a beautiful day at SMC and some cool and organic relationships that unexpectedly took root:1) Safety nets delivered to protect our food section seating from errant shots during warmups and game.2) Delivery truck driver, Faustino, an Oakland native was amazing and now… pic.twitter.com/aow6M6IfkQ— Benno Nagel (@benno_nagel) April 17, 2024
Not sure that you understood my point. If single season tickets are $1, why would anyone pay $287.74 for season tickets unless, as I wrote, season tickets includes parking, premium seats, or other perks. Of if $1 tickets are for this 1st game only.
The $1 tickets are for only the three games at PayPal Park. https://www.ticketmaster.com/the-town-fc-tickets/artist/3133879 https://thetownfc.ticketspice.com/season-tickets https://thetownfc.ticketspice.com/singlematch
OK, that answers my question then, at least partially. If "other" games were say $20, and there are 10 other games, the season ticket number starts to get close to being worth it. But there must be other perks? BTW seems like mlssoccer has The Town FC mixed up with some other team. :facepalm
