Prior to this game Garcia had 0 G, 1 A in about 600 minutes with the Monarchs. The club had really talked Garcia up but I'd hoped to see him excel at this level, which he hasn't really. Maybe this game is a sign of improvement. Kei is now at 2 goals in a little under 300 minutes, not bad for a 14 year old.
I find Garcia very inconsistent, which isn't too uncommon for some of these speedy wingers who have trouble with decision making sometimes. I still have the same questions about Cam Dunbar for LAG, who is an age group older. It often doesn't look great, but the numbers are getting better for Dunbar. I think it may take another year or two to become more consistent for Garcia.
That's basically my feeling. Luna is obviously ahead of him and will probably get at least some minutes later this year (even with RSL's crowded winger room). Garcia seems to me like he needs more time at this level but can still be a perfectly productive player. T2 is right at the bottom of the standings but it's still good to see Garcia with a complete performance like this.
