Did Quakes 2 make 6 substitutions? I know Vancouver had a player go off in the 1st half with injury but it didn't look like a head injury....

Also KK was the only unused field player sub, while we subbed on 3 academy players. Wonder what they were saving him for...

Yes, six! Vanilla only had five, including the guy who went off in the first half

Hm that's only supposed to be allowed if Vancouver had designated their 1st-half sub as a concussion sub, in which case the Quakes would get a 6th sub as well. Or maybe there is a Next Pro local rule about this...

Or they changed the rules without updating the website? Doesn't make much sense.

Well that was fun - just watched the replay of the match on youtube. Another great goal by Tomo - I've seen that move before - fake with the right, crossover to his left, far post curler. Money. This team has a lot of players who are playing well. The Stanford Blond Guys™, Mendoza, H(Eisner), Tomo, Mendoza, Montali made a nice save on a PK (is he really behind Crock?), Rajagopal is always solid, Dossman, Donnery, etc. Even Jermaine Spivey played well and had an assist! Honestly it's the only time I've seen him play well. I thought it was KK at first (I think the announcer called him KK also - that announcer is not necessarily the brightest bulb in the pack). Also, Kikuchi doesn't get many minutes but impresses me every time he plays. And I think that's the first time I've seen Alex Ling. Also looked very good.

Cumulative score against the WhiteCaps this weekend: SJ 7 - 2 Vancouver.

    That's how it works, right?

BTW the turf at Negoesco looks terrible. It looks like mini-golf putting carpet. I hope it plays better than it looks, or doesn't cause 3rd degree rug burns when slide on it. But the stadium has a vibe, the way it's tucked in a neighborhood with tall trees, etc. Very SF.
